Obituary of Tom B McIver

West Columbia-Tom B. McIver, Jr., 71, passed away Friday October 31, 2014. He was born in Calhoun County on March 18, 1943, to the late Tom B. McIver, Sr. and Mary Lucille Ayers. He was a retired truck driver from Charles Grant Trucking Company. He attended Cross and Crown Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are the mother of his children, Mary Clegg; daughter, Lisa Mullis (Kenneth Jr,); son, Tom B. McIver, III (Donna); fiancée, Shirley Furtick and her children, Julie Cason (Steve), Anita Norris (Ricky) and Ken Furtick (Ann); sister, Miriam Stabler; brother, John Wayne McIver; three grandchildren, Cristy and Christopher Taylor and Ken Mullis, III and several great-grandchildren. "Pops" was loved by all of Shirley's grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 1, 2014, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington, South Carolina. The family will receive family and friends from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park.
