Obituary of Clarence Eastman Long

Cayce - Clarence "Sonny" Eastman Long, III, 73, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at his home on November 5, 2014. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at State Street Baptist Church, Cayce on Saturday, November 8, 2014 with burial to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. Born May 18, 1941 in Charleston, South Carolina, Sonny was the son of the late Geneva "Pearl" Long and Clarence "C.E." Long, Jr. A lifelong Cayce resident, he is survived by his loving children, Joseph D. Long, Donna L. Brazell and Melissa D. Long; his son-in-law, C. Mark Brazell; his wonderful grandsons, C. Paul Brazell and Matt D. Brazell; his former wife and mother of his children, Linda D. Long; his sister, Mary "Toni" L. Bennett; and his brother-in-law, William "Bill" A. Bennett. He is also survived by his devoted friend, Ivory "Tootie" Huggins.
