Obituary of Sara Ann Inabinet

Sara Ann Inabinet, 77, sister of B.C. Inabinet Jr., and Ralph Inabinet of Columbia, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 8, 2014. Sara Ann Inabinet was born on December 3, 1936 in Columbia SC to the late Benjamin Carlisle Inabinet and Sara Abrams Inabinet. Sara Ann was kind, intelligent and known for her philanthropy. Ms. Inabinet graduated from Dreher High School as an honor student and top member of the National Honor Society. Sara Ann retired after 38 years from Southern Bell and Bell South and AT&T as the head treasurer. She was also the Vice President of Defender Services. She loved her Clemson Tigers football, rarely missing a game. Sara Ann loved to travel and spent time in Great Britain as and enjoyed visiting her family in Myrtle Beach as well as many other unique and fun destinations. She had a sharp intellect and enjoyed the challenge of a difficult crossword puzzle. She was a supporter of many charities that included Clemson University Football, IPTAY, and Epworth Children's Home. Her warm smile will be deeply missed. Sara Ann is survived by Benjamin Carlisle Inabinet Jr.'s children and grandchildren; Kathryn Inabinet Laney (Emsley) and her children Graham Inabinet Chrisley, Austin O'Neil Chrisley and Kathryn Ashlyn Laney, Benjamin Carlisle Inabinet III and his children Kathryn E. Inabinet; Benjamin Inabinet IV and Alex Inabinet and a sister Dixie Inabinet Hicks and her daughter Andi Hicks. Sara Ann is also survived by her brother Ralph's son, Chip Inabinet. She was predeceased by her brothers; Ralph Inabinet and Benjamin Carlisle Inabinet Jr. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 with the Reverend Josh McClendon officiating. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Epworth Children's Home, 2900 Millwood Ave, Columbia SC 29205.
