Obituary of Ronald Bonnette

Ronald "Joe" Bonnette, 67 of West Columbia passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road in Lexington on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Nazareth Pentecostal Holiness Church, 472 Two Notch Road in Lexington. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. Joe was born in Columbia, SC on August 5, 1947 to the late Byrnes Melton Sr. and Vera Boles Bonnette. He was also predeceased by his wife, Margaret Bonnette and brother, Butch Bonnette. Joe retired from Michelin Tires in 2008 and was the owner of Treetop Flyers at Whispering Fields in Pelion, SC. He is survived by his sons, Jason Bonnette and Ron Bonnette; step-daughter, Michelle Vaden; three sisters, Gloria Shumpert, Jeanette Roe, and Betty Bonnette. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his four legged best friend, Boo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA, 121 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC 29209.
