Obituary of Jenelle Scott

Jenelle Scott, 78, of West Columbia, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014. She was born in Kershaw County in South Carolina on October 10, 1936 to the late Floyd William Horton and Eva Carrie (Rodgers) Horton. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George Frederick Scott, Jr.; daughters, Sharon Scott Sturkie (Keith) and Jan Scott Berrian (Mike); son, George Frederick Scott, III, (Janeal); eight grandchildren and spouses; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys Kell and her late husband (Dick Kell); and brother, Jack Horton (Loretta). She was preceded in death by her brothers, Coyt, Milton and Curtis Horton; and a sister, Willeen Horton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Hill Baptist Church, 1800 Augusta Road, West Columbia, SC 29169. Reverend Brett Marlowe and Reverend Jason Sturkie will be officiating. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073.
