Obituary of Samuel Stoudemire

Samuel "Sam I Am" Stoudemire, 70, of West Columbia, passed away, December 8, 2014 at his home. Born May 6, 1944 in Lexington, SC he was a son of Mary A. Stoudemire Crapps and the late John H. Stoudemire, Sr. A beloved son, brother and friend, he will be remembered as a great fisherman. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Pedings and a brother, John H. Stoudemire, Jr. In addition to his mother, Mr. Stoudemire is survived by three sisters, Linda Whitehead (Jim), Dianne Tobias (Robert) and Cathy Varney (Bob). A funeral service will be held at 3:30 P.M., on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 P.M., the day of the funeral.
