Obituary of Ann Louise Panter Donaldson

A graveside funeral service for Ann Louise Panter Donaldson, 94, of West Columbia, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Reverend Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC is assisting the family. Mrs. Donaldson passed away Monday, December 15, 2014. Born September 27, 1920 in Isabella, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Horace Sherman Panter and Betty Ann Self Panter. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Loyce Wayne "Hoyt" Donaldson. She was of the Baptist faith, and a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and caring for her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters, Brenda Nesbit (David) of Manning, Joyce Parrish (Johnny) of Murrells Inlet; son, Larry Parks Donaldson of West Columbia; grandchildren, Paul David Nesbit, William "Will" Nesbit, Emerson T. "Jack" Hodges, Jerry W. Donaldson, Jr., Frances "Fran" Rice (James), Sherre Sibley (Jarad), James Donaldson (Kristie); eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Panter of Murphy, North Carolina; and a large and loving extended family. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Jerry Wayne Donaldson, Sr.; grandson, Keith Brian Donaldson; sisters, Virginia Green, Maxine Stillwell, Frances Henry; brothers, Horace Sherman Panter, Jr., William Stribling Panter, Jack Dempsey Panter.
