Obituary of Frances Ringer Frye

West Columbia - Frances Ringer Frye, 94, of West Columbia, wife of the late David Edward Frye Sr. passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Born in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Roland Luther and Allie Bundrick Ringer. Mrs. Frye graduated from Draughon's Business College and retired as an assistant secretary from the Palmetto State Life Insurance Company. She was a member of St. David Lutheran Church, Zela's Sunday School Class, Women of the ELCA, The Young at Heart and a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority since 1939. Surviving are two nephews, Barney Traywick Keitt (Loleta) and Chris L. Keitt; three step-children, Mary Catherine Lindler (Berley), David E. Frye Jr. (Pope) and Susan H. Frye; five step-grandchildren, Renee Nolff, Berley Lindler III, Nancy Marlowe, Amy and David E. Frye III; six step-great-grandchildren, Catherine and Pierce Nolff, Rowan and Abbie Marlowe, Matthew and Christopher Frye. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. David Lutheran Church, West Columbia. SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Friday, at the church prior to the service. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
