Obituary of Vernon Wesley Brown

Vernon Wesley Brown, 84, of Cayce, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 19, 2014. He was born on August 4, 1930 in Lebanon, Nebraska to the late Don C. and Edna Ruth Roesch Brown. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy, and retired from the U.S. Air Force. The family will have a private gathering on December 23, 2014 in Columbia, SC. Surviving is his brother, Morris Brown of Carlin, NV; sisters-in-law, Norma Brown of Oberlin Kansas, Twila Brown of McCook Nebraska, and Donna Brown of Carlin Nevada; step-sons, Lee Benton of Lexington, Ken Benton of Columbia, Dale Benton of Hopkins and Michael Benton of Columbia; and 9 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 wives, Mary Lee Brown and Dorothy Benton Brown and his brothers, Harold Brown, Dean Brown, and Floyd Brown and a nephew, Don Brown.
