Obituary of Roy Areheart

Roy Leonard "Len" Areheart, Jr., 49, of Lexington, entered into rest Thursday, January 8, 2015 at his home after an extended illness. Born March 20, 1965 in Columbia, SC he was the son of Sandra Lillian (Gibson) Areheart and the late Roy Leonard Areheart, Sr. He was a Diesel Mechanic and worked for CORESLAB Structures for more than 5 years. Len was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church, and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his mother, Len is survived by his sister, Renee Areheart Thames (Joseph); two sons, Leonard Scott Areheart and Tyler Areheart Ulsh; his beloved cat, Puddy; as well as two nephews, Michael (Courtney) Thames and Justin (Hannah) Thames and two great nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Entombment will be private and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to, Riverland Hills Baptist Church, 201 Lake Murray Boulevard, Irmo, SC 29063.
