Obituary of Margie DeYoung
Lexington - Margie DeYoung, 92 of Lexington, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015. Born in Chavies, Kentucky on November 29, 1922, she was a daughter to the late Jim and Drue Shepherd Banks. She was a member of West Columbia Church of Christ, and the Eastern Star. She owned and operated Dee's Party Service in Middletown, OH and Kut and Kurl in Hyden, KY.
Margie is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Runyon (Ted) Stidham, Ruth Runyon (Roy) Boggs and Terri Runyon (Gary) Lee, all of Lexington, SC; Son, Thys Jeffrey (Eric Piersma) DeYoung of Washington, DC; sisters, Jean Baker and Jenny Tennyson; brother, David Banks; grandchildren, Leslie Ellison, Vickie Williams, Dana Willoughby, Tony Stidham, Jill Boggs, Ashley Bedenbaugh, Casey Bach, Carol Fell, Rose Thomas and Ruth Carter; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husbands, John Cecil Runyon and Thys "Dee" Benjamin DeYoung; a son, Cecil Runyon and a daughter, Sue Layne; 4 sisters; 7 brothers; 3 Nieces; and 1 nephew.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Breitenbach McCoy Leffler Funeral Home in Middletown, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the chapel of the funeral home in Middletown, Ohio. Burial will follow in Woodside Memorial Park.
