Obituary of Frances Agnes Scanlon

Frances Agnes Scanlon, 52, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away January 13, 2015 at Palmetto Health Baptist Columbia, South Carolina. She was born on November 17, 1962 in Montgomery, Alabama to Mrs. Mary T. Scanlon and the late John G. Scanlon. Frances was a thoughtful and kind soul. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all kinds of books. Frances adored her two nieces Madison and Laney. Frances was a free spirit and will be missed. Frances is survived by her mother; Mary T. Scanlon of Columbia, SC, a sister; Victoria Peyton (John) of Columbia, SC, and her nieces; Madison and Laney Peyton, both of Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 12 PM until 1 PM. Funeral services will follow the visitation in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Sturgeon officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 at 2 PM. Memorials may be made to the animal charity of one's choice.
