Obituary of Mary Louise Byrd White

Mary Louise (Byrd) White, 80, of Columbia, SC, entered into rest, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas, NC. Born December 7, 1934 in Marion County, SC she was a daughter of the late James Ernest and Wilma Elizabeth (Davis) Byrd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. White, Sr., with whom she shared a union of more than 49 years. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie W. Knight (Jim); sons, Kenneth "Woody" L. White, Jr. (Linda) and Ernest "Mitch" M. White (Cathy); 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. (Noon) to 1:00 P.M., the day of the funeral.
