Obituary of Dixie Walker

Lexington - Dixie Walker, 83, of Lexington wife of the late Darrell G. Walker passed Thursday, January 15, 2015. Born in Columbia, SC to the late A.Z. Wessinger and Edna Cook May on August 24, 1931. She retired as a bank teller of forty three years and was a member of South Lexington Baptist Church. Mrs. Walker is survived by two daughters, Jackie (Danny) Bowers, Marie (Rex) Turner; a son, Jack (Mack) Seymour; two sisters, Irene Farmer and Shirley Barfield; a brother, Tommy May Sr.; four grandchildren, Ryan Turner, Travis Turner, Amy Turner and April Bowers; three great grandchildren; Connor and Natalie Gurganious and Caileigh Lindler. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday January 17, 2015 at South Lexington Baptist Church, 116 Bervard Parkway Lexington, SC. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.
