Obituary of Richard Joseph Dube

Richard (Rick) Joseph Dube, 61, of Orono, Maine passed away January 19, 2015 at Providence Hospital Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on June 10, 1953 in Bangor, Maine to Rose Marie Ouellette Dube and the late Adrien Joseph Dube. He lived with his wife in North Berwick, Maine for over 20 years. Rick served the United States in the Army, Duty to Vietnam with the 82nd Engineering Brigade as a Blaster. He was a man of honor and made no excuses for protecting the people around him. He was meticulous in his endeavors and an extremely talented mechanic. Rick had a magnetic personality. His intelligence and wonderful sense of humor could light up a room. He was a proud man that stood by his military beliefs. He was a hard lined leader, but was easy to follow. What Rick loved most was his family. Rick enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Road King with his wife. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to hunt and fish. Rick had many abilities. There was not anything he could not do. He took pride in everything he did and in all aspects of his life. He was an amazing husband to Diane and a wonderful father and grandfather. He enjoyed any opportunity to get the family together, whether it be Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthdays, or the annual Diane's Birthday Bonfire Bonanza. He truly cared for those around him. His infectious smile and warm spirit will truly be missed. Rick is survived by his loving and devoted wife Diane Elise Dube of Columbia, SC, daughters; Sheriann Elise LeVau (Brent) of E. Weymouth, MA, Kristi Lea Harper of Wilmot, NH, grandchildren; Abraham Harper Furtado of Wilmot, NH, Olivia Elise LeVau of E. Weymouth, MA, Alexandra Penelope LeVau of E. Weymouth, MA and Charlotte Elizabeth Levau of E. Weymouth, MA, his mother; Rose Marie Ouellette Dube, sisters; Patricia Ann Stoddard of Greenfield, ME, Nancy Lee Shina (Dee) of Milford, ME, brother Ronald Joseph Dube (Pat) of Lisbon, ME. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins and many other folks that will miss him very much. He was preceded in death by his father; Adrien Joseph Dube, and a brother; Joseph Adrien Dube. Memorial services will be held at the N. Berwick Community Center on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., 266 Lebanon Road, N. Berwick Maine, 03906. Graveside services will be held at Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, 83 Stanley Road, Springvale, Maine, 04083 on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors.
