Obituary of Marie H. Davis

Marie H. Davis, 71, of Lexington, wife of Woodrow "Woody" Davis, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina on April 23, 1943 to Frances Godfrey Hall and the late Clinton James Hall. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her mother; her husband of 53 years; two sons, Mark Davis and Tim Davis (Lunette); two brothers, James and Donald Hall; two sisters, Joyce Crapsey (Bill) and Susan Hall; a future grandson, Trevor Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Suzan Hall. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2015 at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, 3050 Leaphart Road, West Columbia, SC 29169. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 -7 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church or to the American Diabetes Association, 107 West Park Blvd, Columbia, SC 29210 or the charity of one's choice.
