Obituary of Jack Cain

Jack Daniel Cain, 79, of West Columbia passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015. He was born on July 9, 1935 to the late William Jack Cain and Annie Mae Hoffman Cain in Florence, SC. He graduated from McClenaghan High School and Carolina College of Commerce in Florence. He retired from the City of Columbia. Jack was a kind, caring man, and loving husband, father and grandfather and loved helping others. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Audrey of 53 years; sons, Todd Cain of Washington, D.C. and Scott Cain and his wife, Andie of Orange Park, FL; grandchildren, Jordan Cain and Alyssa Cain of Orange Park, FL and Ella Cain and Anna Cain of Washington, D.C; a brother, Johnny Cain and his wife Jean of Little River, SC. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Jack Daniel Cain. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
