Obituary of F. Allan Murray

West Columbia - F. Allan Murray, 75, of West Columbia, went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2015 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Columbia, the son of Flethcher Lee and Alyce W. Murray. He was predeceased by his daughter Kimberly Stewart Caughman and his parents. Allan was employed at IBM and UniRoyal Goodrich and Retired in 1993. He was a life-long member at First Baptist Church of West Columbia. He enjoyed fishing with his two sons and woodworking. He graduated from Brookland Cayce High School in 1957 and attended USC. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Becky Murray, two sons, Steve and John (Johnette), and step daughters Tammy (Donald), and Julie (Randy). Also sister Mary E. Davis (Bobby) as well as 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington from 6-8PM. A celebration of his life will be at the First Baptist Church West Columbia on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 2PM.
