Obituary of James E. Taylor

Lexington - Funeral services for James (Jimmy) E. Taylor, 71, of Lexington, will be held at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia SC, 29209 at 2 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the chapel of the funeral home. Mr. Taylor passed away on February 14, 2015. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late, Marvin Taylor and Ollie Harvey Taylor. He was a gentle man with a heart of gold. Jimmy had a solid faith in God, and wanted to be a preacher one day. He enjoyed the mountains and their beauty. Jimmy also liked to eat. He would never turn down an offering of food. Jimmy loved his family and would spend as much time with them as he could. He especially loved his caregivers of 15 years, Christina and Elebert Pearson. Jimmy was kind and a faithful servant to his God. He will be missed. Jimmy is survived by a brother; Thomas Taylor (Marion) of Mabelton GA, and many other family members that will miss him dearly.
