Obituary of Doris Jolly Lybarker

PELION-Doris Jolly Lybarker, 69, of Pelion was victorious over her 31 year battle with cancer when she shed her earthly body and entered her eternal home in Heaven on Monday morning, February 16, 2015. She was married to Jerald "Jerry" Lybarker for 37 years and together they had three children. Surviving are Christopher Lybarker and his wife, Carri Grube Lybarker and Jennifer Lybarker Poole and her husband, Wesley all of Pelion. She adored her five grandchildren, Madison Dykes, Paige Poole, Avery Kate Poole, Kellen Poole and Caroline Lybarker. She is also survived by her baby brother, Danny Joe Jolly. The joy of her life was watching her grandchildren grow. Originally from Nichols, SC, she was welcomed to Heaven by her husband Jerry, son Joseph "Eric" Lybarker, brothers, Ivy Lee, Sterlon, Stacy and Horace Jolly and her beloved dog Chase. She spent time working for Loxscreen, SC Workers' Compensation Commission and the SC Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a member of Florence Baptist Church in Pelion and was active in the Ladies Outreach Group. The family cordially invites you to join them in celebrating Doris' life at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Florence Baptist Church, 1720 Windy Wood, Pelion, SC 29123. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington. Memorials may be made in Doris' honor to Florence Baptist Church Building Fund. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregiver, Jennifer Hutto.
