Obituary of Christopher Jason Brooks

Christopher Jason Brooks, 41, of Hopkins, South Carolina passed away February 26, 2015 at Palmetto Health Richland Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on August 21, 1973 in Columbia, South Carolina and resided here his entire life. Jason was a kind and inquisitive man. He was extremely bright, and was reading the newspaper with his father by age 4. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a caring spirit. Jason would find a topic and research it until he knew all he could about it. He enjoyed the process of learning, the subject did not matter. Jason enjoyed reading, and listening to country music. Jason also felt very connected to politics. When he felt strongly enough about a topic, he enjoyed debating about it. Jason was also very close to his dog, Pixie. They were constant companions and took care of each other. Jason is survived by his loving family members; Debra Hallman (Steve) of Hopkins SC, Larry Brooks (Siana) of Hopkins SC, Frank Braun, Marc Braun (Jennifer), Nick Braun (Candice), Ashleigh Braun, Stephanie Braun all from Lexington SC. He also leaves behind many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by Pete and Blondell Brooks, and Lynne Marie Braun. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by the family.
