Obituary of Joseph James Manns

Joseph James Manns, 86, of Eastover entered into rest, Monday, April 13, 2015. Mr. Manns spent most of his life serving his community as well as the nation. He was a Navy and WWII veteran, and also worked in public service being both a firefighter and police officer. Mr. Manns was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Eastover. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janis M. Wilson. Mr. Manns is survived by his wife of more than 63 years, Frances Manns; son, Todd J. Manns; brother, Edward Manns (Chris); and grandchildren, Alex Manns, Nicole and Shay Manns. Services will be private and held at a later date. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family.
