Obituary of Reinhilde Hendrick

Hopkins, SC - Reinhilde Hendrick, 76, of Hopkins, SC passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Providence Hospital, Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of the late Leonhard and Maria (Eibl) Kretschmann, of Germany. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, April 24, 2015, at Centennial A.R.P. Church, 1413 Laurel Street, Columbia, SC 29201. The family will receive friends one hour prior (10:00 A.M.) until the hour of the service in the sanctuary at church. Reinhilde retired from Jarden Applied Materials (formerly Shakespeare) in 2013, after 27 years with the company. Reinhilde was a member and deacon at Centennial A.R.P. Church. She was an avid reader, with a vast knowledge of American history and politics. She also loved music and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Reinhilde was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Jerry R. Hendrick. She is survived by her son, Joe Marsh (Kim); two loving grandchildren, Cindy Marsh of Melbourne, FL and Donny Marsh (Jeni), of Orlando, FL; and a great grandson, Joey. She is also survived by two brothers, Leonhard Kretschmann (Liesel) and Kurt Schmid (Ingrid), both of Germany; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
