Obituary of Ethel B. Sharpe

Ethel B. Sharpe, 92, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away peacefully on May 22, 2015. She was born in Fairfield, South Carolina to the late Lewis and Lulu (McMurray) Bigham. Ethel spent her life caring for her family. She enjoyed her flowers and her country music. She has been a member of the Eastern Star for 60 plus years. She will be missed by many. Ethel is survived by her children, Carl E. Sharpe (Sherry) of Gaston, the Rev. Harvey G. Sharpe (Loretta) of Burnsville, NC, Patricia S. Powell (Hallie) of Gaston, Shirley S. Park of Gaston, Jewell H. Sharpe, Jr. (Suzanna) of Lexington and June E. Hardee (Kenny) of Lexington. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell H. Sharpe, Sr. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 10-11AM and the funeral service will follow. Interment will be in Southland Memorial Gardens .
