Obituary of Dorothy M Shumpert

Dorothy M. Shumpert, 79, of West Columbia passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. She was a graduate of Baptist Hospital Nursing Program in 1958. From 1965, she was a loving mother and housewife. She was also a long time member of Northside Baptist. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 plus years, Franklin R. Shumpert; three children, Moni, Craig and Kyle; four grandchildren, Walker, Katie, Christopher and Kaleb. Dorothy was the oldest of five children. Also surviving are her brothers, Herbert, J.W., Tommy, and Gary McCraw and their families. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Celestial Memorial Gardens on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 4 p.m.
