Obituary of Rosel Rexer Jones

Rosel Rexer Jones, 80, of Columbia, passed away peacefully at her home on June 20, 2015. She was born on December 6, 1934 in Russelsheim Germany. Rosel was strong in her Christian faith. She loved to cook and was famous for her German potato salad. Rosel enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and shopping. She most loved her family. Serving her husband and children brought her great joy. She will be missed by those who loved her. Rosel is survived by her son, Donald Lee Jones (Shirley Marie) of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ridge (Stuart) of Lexington, SC and Timothy L. Jones (Charlene) of Gaston SC. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Ester Lee Jones. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11 AM at Thompson Funeral Home at, Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Interment will be in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229 at 1 PM.
