Obituary of Carl Ray Baughman

Carl Ray Baughman, 68, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away June 28, 2015 in South Carolina. He was born in Moncks Corner, South Carolina to the late Carlton and Hazel Kyzer Baughman. Carl graduated from Airport High School in West Columbia. He spent most of his career as a salesperson in the Auto Industry. He was a big collector of both model and classic cars. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, sunbathing, golfing and collected classic cars as well as models. He enjoying cooking out and spending time with his family. He will be missed by so many friends and family. Carl is survived by his wife of 16 years, Emily G. Baughman of Lexington; his son, Carl Ray Baughman, Jr. of West Columbia; his daughter, Lori A. Greene of Lexington; his brothers, Thomas Baughman of Georgia and Gene Baughman of West Columbia; and his sisters, Marie Drake of Irmo and Edith Shealy of Lexington. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Devin, Madeline and Blake. He also leaves his special caregiver, Judy Keith of Columbia. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10AM. Interment will follow in Mount Herman Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lexington.
