Obituary of SFC Daniel Eichost

COLUMBIA-A graveside service celebrating the life of Vietnam veteran SFC Daniel James Eichost, 79 (US Army Ret.), of Columbia will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Greenlawn Memorial Park Serenity Gardens. Mr. Eichost departed this Earthly life at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital on Wednesday, July 9, 2015 in the presence of his loving daughter. He was born in Chicago, IL to the late Benjamin and Lillian Eichost. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family. Those left to cherish his precious memory include; a daughter, Carolyn (Bobby) Lamar; a son, Daniel (Dayle) Eichost; three grandchildren, Todd, Chad, and Paige; five great grandchildren; a brother, William Thomas (Frances) Eichost; a sister, Ruth Helen O' Dea; his beloved canine companion Rosie; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
