Obituary of Donald Roy Snider
Donald Roy Snider, age 76, passed from this life on July 14, 2015 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on March 23, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri to Roy and Velma Snider. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gail Snider, his two daughters, Donna McCleeary and Debbie Pepper, his two sons in laws, Brad McCleeary and Mark Pepper, his two sisters, Betty and Glenda, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
As a faithful servant of Christ, he was a member of the McRae Road church of Christ. He was active in leading prayer, serving the Lord's Supper, and was an encouraging and generous servant to his brethren. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, Fox News, yard work, and being involved in business, especially his work with Cherokee Kenworth. He loved his family and friends and took every opportunity to tease them. He will be missed greatly.
The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 7:00 p.m. A Graveside service will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
