Obituary of Mildred Phillips

Mildred Phillips, 87, of West Columbia, SC the wife of the late Thomas Phillips, Sr., passed away July 15, 2015. She was born on April 26, 1928 in Clemson, SC to the late Arthur Alonza Whittle and Elizabeth Anne Cooke Whittle. Mrs. Phillips was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of West Side Baptist Church. Mildred is survived by a son, Ron Phillips; sister, Sarah Pickens; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her son, Thomas Phillips, Jr.; five sisters and six brothers. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at West Side Baptist Church on Platt Springs Road. The funeral service will follow at the church at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park.
