Obituary of Dianne Lockhart Smith

Funeral services for Dianne Lockhart Smith, 67, of West Columbia will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Mrs. Smith passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Marvin L. and Clara Collins Lockhart. A devout Christian, she was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church. Mrs. Smith was a 10 year US Air force veteran. Dianne retired from Family Medical Centers of South Carolina as an LPN. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who never met a stranger. An Angel on earth and now an Angel in Heaven. Surviving are her husband, D. Bruce Smith of the home; daughter, Meghan Smith McBrayer (Jake) and their son Jaxson McBrayer. Also surviving is a sister, Betty L. Anderson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
