What a wonderful man. My favorite memory of him had to be from ward talent show we had when I was younger (early 1990's, I think) where he and Dale preformed a song together. There was Bishop Berry in suspenders and a straw hat singing "Hey, Good Lookin'" with Dale accompanying him in Guitar. As the song progressed so did the speed and volume of Dale's guitar work which culminated in Pete Townshend-like windmills power chords. That was my favorite event of the night and I loved the humor of it and how they both worked in their individual tastes.
Bishop Berry always had a firm handshake and a kind (often witty) word for me whenever we met which I have grown to appreciate and value more and more and I've grown older. My heart goes out to his family. I'm truly grateful, despite this separation, that I will be able to shake his hand again.
