Obituary of Betty Culler

Betty Culler, 79, of Sandy Run, SC passed away July 27, 2015 peacefully at home. She was born in Ithaca, NY to the late Carlton and Minnie Luhrs Kimpland. Betty loved and enjoyed her family and friends, especially her grand and great grandchildren. She loved spending time at the beach, doing crossword puzzles, playing games with her family and was an avid crafter. Betty was a member of Mt. Zion UMC where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years as well as holding a number of positions on the church council. She was also very active in the Sandy Run Community Club where she held various offices on the board. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Betty is survived by her daughters, Lynda Culler Moore of Sandy Run and Kim Culler Sexton and son-in-law, Mike Sexton of Charleston; and their father, Charles H. Culler, Jr. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Deal of FL; and brother, Donald Kimpland of AZ and the late Bernice Farrell. She leaves the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Keri (Shawn), Lauren (Jason), Jeremy (Lana) all of Lexington and Megan (Tom) and Kayla (Phillip) all of Charleston; and her great grandchildren, Kylie, Blair, Savannah, Baylor, Isaac, Sutton and Evelyn, all of whom affectionately called her "Boop". She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and an extended loving family of in- laws. A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Mt. Zion UMC in Sandy Run. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Mt. Zion UMC, 2349 Old State Rd., Swansea, SC 29160 or a charity of choice.
