Obituary of Glenda Cato Pruitt

Glenda C. Pruitt, 70, of Lexington, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015. She was born in Columbia to the late James and Elgie Whitman Cato. Glenda graduated Beaufort High School in 1963. She attended Farah's School of Cosmetology in Charleston and Roux Hair Coloring Institute. She loved the beach and cooking and time with her family. She was huge fan of the Carolina Gamecocks. She belonged to Fish Hatchery Road Church of God and loved singing gospel songs. She loved her grandchildren immensely and was extremely proud to be called "Nana". She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Glenda is survived by her husband, Horace V. Pruitt, Jr.; her son, James Anthony "Tony" Thomas of TN; her daughter, Noelle Pruitt Logue of West Columbia; and a special niece, Robin S. Garner. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her infant daughter, Michelle Alexandria Thomas. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 11 a.m.-12 Noon Funeral services will follow at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Batesburg Cemetery in Batesburg, SC.
