Obituary of SSgt. Michael Donovan Reep

SSgt. Michael Donovan Reep of the United States Air Force passed away on August 8, 2015, surrounded by loving family and friends. Donovan was a dedicated Airman who accomplished more in his four year career than most could hope to achieve. Donovan excelled among his peers and inspired his fellow servicemen. He was incredibly focused on his professional career while simultaneously enrolled in college. Donovan's tireless efforts in his personal and professional life led to a scheduled to graduation with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice in October of this year. Donovan enjoyed spending time with Krista, his wife of four years and their adored dog Purple. Donovan had a passion for trail-riding his off-road SUV in the Colorado Rockies where he also loved to camp and hike with his close friends. He also enjoyed playing guitar, riding his dirt bike, photography and tinkering in his garage. Donovan is survived by his wife, Krista Lever Reep and dog, Purple Reep of Columbia, SC; his mother and stepfather, Alicia Medlin Church and Gregory Brent Church of Waxhaw, NC; his sister, Calli Ashton Reep; his beloved Pop-Pop, Eddie Dean Reep, Sr.; his mother and father-in-law, Debbie Cone Lever and Julian Mark Lever. He is also leaves behind his grandparents, 8 aunts, 4 uncles, numerous cousins and many other loving family members. Visitation will be Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 with the service to follow lakeside at Greenlawn Memorial Park with full military honors to be rendered. SSgt. Michael Donovan Reep will be in laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery.
