Obituary of Tommy Jones

Tommy Jones, 89, of Eastover, South Carolina passed away September 1, 2015 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was born in North Carolina to the late Daniel and Beulah Stuart Jones. Tommy was a retired conductor with Norfolk Southern of 42 years. He was a Master Mason of Lower Richland Lodge in Columbia. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of Kingsville Hunting Club of SC for his entire life. He will be missed by many friends and his family. Tommy is survived by his sons, William (Nasaria) Jones of Moncks Corner, SC and Samuel (Ann) Jones of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Myrtis Griggs Jones; and his son, Richard Jones. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 1-2 p.m. A graveside service will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
