Obituary of Melba Geraldine Jeffcoat

Melba Geraldine Glenn Jeffcoat, 91, of West Columbia, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, September 13, 2015. She was born in Gaston, SC to the late David and Ethel (Lawson) Fallaw. Melba graduated from Pelion High School. She was very involved in her church, loved her church family and loved the Lord. She loved her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many friends and family. Melba is survived by her daughters, Clara (Joe) Perniciaro of GA, Sherry G. Shull of Gilbert; and her son, Quinton Ashley (Penny) Glenn, Jr. of Gaston; as well as her sister, Faye Rivers of Gaston. She also leaves behind her 7 loving grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Glenn and her siblings, Hazel Glenn and Billy, Welbern, Genevive and Howard Fallaw; as well as her husbands, Quinton A. Glenn, Sr. and Paul Jeffcoat. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 12-1 P.M. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Gaston.
