Obituary of Joan Hostetter

Mrs. Joan Hostetter, 84, of Elgin, SC passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Joan was born in Columbia, SC to the late George Grant and Alice Grant Simon. Joan enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was extremely proud of all of her grandsons. In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by a son, Frank Hostetter; and two brothers, John Grant and Thomas Grant. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 68 years, Glen Hostetter; son Dan (Becky) Hostetter; grandsons, Jake (Tina) Hostetter, Brandon Hostetter, and Hunter Hostetter; a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road in Columbia, on Friday September 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park officiated by Reese Byrd.
