Obituary of Georgia Rector

Georgia Cooper Rector passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. Georgia was born on November 1, 1942 in Columbia, SC to Mozelle and George Cooper. She attended Brookland-Cayce High School. Georgia and her family moved to Texas in 1976 where they lived in San Antonio and Dallas until she returned to South Carolina in 2005 shortly after her retirement as an Executive Assistant from Bank of America. Georgia was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Eugene "Gene" Rector. She is survived by her two sons, Randy Rector of Columbia, SC and Rusty Rector of Chicago, IL; her mother, Mozelle Neely Cooper of Lexington, SC; her loving sisters and brothers and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 21 from 6:00-8:00. with an additional visitation on Tuesday, September 22 from 12:00-12:45. A graveside service will follow immediately at Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbia, SC. .
