Obituary of Catherine M. Bolton

Catherine M. Bolton, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday April 19.  She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and lovingly raised by Mamie and James Lloyd Cooper in the Cayce - West Columbia area.

As a sister, she is survived by her beloved sister, Judy Levine and brother-in-law Beverly T. Jacobs.  As a mother, she is survived by her daughter, Melissa Bolton and her son-in-law, Wayne Pighini.  As an aunt and surrogate grandmother,  she is survived by her nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren all of whom were dearly loved.  As a friend, she is survived by many treasured friends of all ages from every stage of her life.

She is predeceased by her late husband, Thomas B. Bolton; her parents, Mamie and James Lloyd Cooper and Vonetta and Frank Murrow; fifteen of her sixteen brothers and sisters; her very special niece and nephew, Heather-Leigh McLean and Preston Parnell; and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home on Augusta Road on Tuesday, April 23 between six and eight in the evening.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at eleven am at Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce, followed by internment at Celestial Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lexington Medical Center, Trinity Baptist Church, and the Lexington County Council on Aging.
