Obituary of Robbie O. Brazell

Robert "Robbie" Odell Brazell,  62, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, at his home in Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on August 1, 1961, in Columbia, South Carolina to the late John and Alma (Keith) Brazell.

Robbie was a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle.  He had an amazing sense of humor and with an easy smile, Robbie was able to bring joy and laughter to those around him.  He was kind, patient, and a great listener, always showing great consideration of those around him.  Robbie was strong in his faith.  He was not ashamed of his love of the lord and shared the word through daily Facebook postings.  Robbie was a true blessing to those that knew him.  Although he will be missed, we look forward to the day we can be reunited with him in Heaven.

Robbie is survived by his soulmate and love of his life for 40 years, Susan Welch Brazell; brothers, James "Buddy" Brazell (Debbie) and Marty Lee Brazell (Andrew); and sisters, Sadie M Wilson, Sara McCaffrey (Phil), Carolyn Bush (Rick) and Debbie Harwell.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Smith.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on April 2, 2024, in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Dr. O'Dell S Belger officiating. Interment will follow the chapel service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Serenity Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Marty Brazell, Jamey Brazell, Kelby Dodson, Mike Welch, Tommy Welch, and Cody Debruhl. The donation of flowers will be welcomed.  Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
