Obituary of Keith Legare Judson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Keith Legare Judson, who departed this world on February 24, 2024 at the age of 60. He was born on April 9, 1963 to the late Paul and Mary Ellen Judson. He was a longtime resident of South Carolina.

Keith Legare Judson served in the Air Force as an aviation technician while stationed in Spain. He continued his work in electronics with Siemens where he spent time in Germany.

As a second career, Keith followed his culinary passion, becoming a chef who delighted in crafting meals for family and friends. His culinary creations were an expression of love, bringing people together around the table. Keith’s culinary talents extended beyond the kitchen, he enjoyed playing the guitar, a hobby shared with friends. His final career was when he selflessly assumed the role of primary caregiver for his mother during her final years, providing comfort, companionship, and unconditional love. This act of devotion is a testament to Keith’s compassionate and caring nature.

Keith Legare Judson was a beloved brother, father, uncle and friend that touched the lives of all who knew him. He is known for his skill and attention to detail in customizing and building guitars. A compassionate soul with a heart for animals, Keith cherished all creatures, great and small. Particularly close to his heart was Sadie, the beloved beagle mix, a faithful companion who shared countless joyful moments with Keith. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ellen Judson and Paul F. Judson, Jr. He is survived by his son, Jarrett Judson; grandchildren, Spencer, August, and Cameron Judson of Walton, KY;  daughter, Marlena Almeida (Bryon); grandchildren, Sloane and Blaire Almeida of Jupiter, FL;  sister, Debbie Davidson (Michael); niece, Christina Oswald; great nephew, Christopher Oswald of Columbia, SC;  brother, Paul (Rick) Judson, III (Tonya); nephew, Connor Judson; and niece, Abby Judson of Birmingham, AL.

A private service will be held by the family to celebrate the life of Keith Legare Judson.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
