Obituary of Sandra G. Beers

Sandra Beers, 66, of Columbia, SC, wife of James Francis Beers peacefully passed away to heaven on February 23, 2024. Her funeral service will be held Friday, March 1st at Thompson Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia, SC. Visitation will start at 12 pm followed by a graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery at 1 pm.

Sandra Beers was born on August 25, 1957 in Columbia, SC. Daughter of the late Irene and Sanford Griffin, she graduated from Lower Richland High School in 1975 and then spent 42 years as a medical coder for Prisma Baptist.

Sandra was a true friend to all. She had much love in her heart for everyone, especially her family and friends. She treated everyone with kindness and generosity. She loved to help people, and often volunteered for different cancer support groups. In her free time she loved being with her husband and son and her closest friends. She was a great listener and always knew what to say, but most importantly she was always someone you could depend on. She will be missed by everyone she touched. We will carry her love for us always in our hearts. 

Sandra is survived by her husband of 44 years, James Francis Beers of Columbia, her son, Nicholas James Beers of Columbia, and her brothers, Stephen Thomas Griffin of Lexington, and Sanford Edward Griffin Jr (Ellen) of Columbia.
