Obituary of Susan "Shelley" Michelle Al-Naqeeb

Susan “Shelley” Michelle Al-Naqeeb, 57, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm, Sunday, February 25, 2024, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Rd. Lexington, SC 29073.  Family will visit with friends 1 hour prior to the service. 

A native of Columbia, Shelley was born January 1, 1967.  She was a graduate of Richland Northeast High School.  She was a valued employee of DHEC, Bureau of Vital Records and Bureau of Water, for more than 10 years. She was a dedicated and loyal employee of more than 10 years with Lloyd Buff Painting and Cleaning.  She was a member of the National ASPCA and of the SCSPCA. 

Shelley is predeceased by her parents, William F. Baskins and Susan B. Cloud.  She is survived by her stepfather, Robert O. Cloud, Jr.; sister, Jeanne Love; her son, Robert Hayes; her nephew, Lee Grigsby; her niece, Paige Grigsby; her great-nieces and nephews, McKenzie Thomas, Jasmine Jacobs, Tripp Rhodes, Gracie Rhodes, Carter Hawkins, Calvin Grigsby, III, and Aubrey Grigsby; and additional friends and family, Billy Hayes, Melissa Hayes, Lloyd Buff, Becky Pulliam, and Dustin Godwin.
