Obituary of Eric Wynn Stroud

Eric W. Stroud, 51, of Swansea, SC, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 11, 2024, surrounded by his family. Eric was born June 11, 1972 to Linda Stroud and the late Lawrence Stroud.

Eric began working with his father at the age of 15. He worked with his father at Larry’s Foundations until he and his mother took over the company in 2007. He continued to run the company until his health began to fail in 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Anderson Stroud; their children, Makenzie (John) Guidry, Carson (Dow Phanhly) Stroud; five grandchildren, Gregory Guidry, Khloe Stroud, Allison Stroud, Brantley Guidry and Anderson “Will” Stroud; siblings, Milton (Brenda)Stroud and Denise (Lance) Lee; mother-in-law, Terri Anderson; brother-in-law, Robert Anderson, Jr.; nephew, Matthew (Erin) Lee; and niece, Amanda (Tyler) Gladden.

Eric was proceeded in death by his father-in-law, Bob Anderson and uncle, Greg Williams.

Eric enjoyed being in the mountains and riding his Harley, hunting, fishing and being on the water.  He loved and cherished all the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Bennett, Justin Hinson, Lance Lee, John Guidry, Carson Stroud, and Stuart Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Guy Dozier, Matthew Lee and Gregory Guidry.

Services are entrusted to Thompson Funeral Home in Columbia, SC. Visitation will be Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Graveside service will be Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11:00 am.
