Obituary of Charles Kenneth Rhodes

Myrtle Beach, SC, Charles Kenneth Rhodes, 90, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

He was born October 27, 1933, in West Columbia, South Carolina to the late Wilbur Lee Rhodes and Wilma Ray Rhodes.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Rhodes was preceded in death by his first wife, Viginia Lewis Rhodes, his second wife, Saundra Fennell Rhodes and his brother, Wilbur Lee Rhodes, Jr.

Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife, Wanda Byrd Rhodes; daughter, Lisa M. Rhodes Wilson; sons, Charles Kenneth Rhodes, Jr. (Teri) and Shayne Augusta Rhodes (Robyn); seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rhodes was a member of Brookland United Methodist Church.  He was a 32^nd Degree Mason and a member of Jamil Temple.  He was retired from Southern Wine and Spirits where he was employed as a salesman for many years.  Mr. Rhodes was a loving and caring man and will be missed by all.

Family visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
