My condolences to the Sturkie family. Duane always had a smile and he laughed a lot. He was a kind and gentle soul . We had some good times working at Columbia Fire Department. We had some great family Christmas gatherings at his parents house. He was an excellent cabinet maker, a very skilled craftsman... one that was hard to find.
He loved his family. He loved...and was loved.

Words cannot express how sorry I am to hear of the tragic loss of Dwane. Please know that I'm thinking of you all
during this difficult time. (One of my fondest memories, and thank you, Dwane and Stephen, for teaching my
sisters and me, how to ride your bicycles, when our parents weren't home).
Love and prayers,
Shirley Roland McDaniel
