Randy was a friend, a mentor, and a brother in Christ to me. I met Randy at one of the lowest points in my Life. God was drawing me back from a worldly life. Randy selflessly spent many hours with me showing me how to study God's word and helped me prepare to teach a Sunday school class. I consider him one of the great men God put in my life to mentor me. I will always remember and cherish our time together. I will miss him but I know he is in the presence of God. He told me he told his children, " Don't ever give up your faith". I pray that I can preserver and hold on to my faith. So that when I depart this world and open my eyes beyond the shining sea in the land of a cloudless day I will behold my God and my friend Randy.

My mind wonders back to our childhood when we would be at grandma Furrs house sitting on her front porch laughing and talking and eating a homemade biscuit. We loved sitting back and listening to Aunt Evelyn (his mother) my mother (Peggy) and grandma all talking at the same time trying to out do each other . That laughter will live on in my memory forever. There are alot more moments that were made there because we always found comfort love and alot about God on that porch of love and understanding. I believe that they are sitting on theri heavenly porch catching up with each other. I will be soon Randy.
