Obituary of Donald B. Chestnut

Donald Bruce Chestnut, 83 of Gaston, SC, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. He was born in Columbia, SC to the late Rhode and Alice Chestnut. Bruce loved being outdoors hunting, gardening and most of all fishing. Family and friends were extremely important to him. He was preceded in death by his wife Dianne Spurlock Chestnut. Surviving are his son Michael Chestnut (Marcie); granddaughters Brittany Arnold (Tony) and Katherine Arnold; great-granddaughters Bailey, Brielle and Marley.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 6-8 pm at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 1pm at the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum by Pastor James Rowell at Southland Memorial Gardens, 820 W. Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170 with interment following.
