Obituary of Jacqueline "Jackie" Vaughan

Jacqueline (Jackie) Bernice Baxley Vaughan of Lexington, SC passed away peacefully November 14^th at Lexington Community Hospice House Agape Care surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Cayce, SC to the late Jack Corbett Baxley and Bernice Addy Baxley. She graduated from Limestone University, with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of Kittiwake Baptist Church where she served the church faithfully in many roles for many years. The Greeks did not write obituaries when someone died, they would simply ask did this person live with passion? Jackie did just that, whether it was her family, her church, her gamecocks, or her love for the Christmas Season she loved and lived out the definition of passion. She saw people as people and in many places she ate and shopped she always knew them by their first name. People mattered to her, and she showed that in love for her family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on Thursday, November 16^th. The funeral service will be held at Kittiwake Baptist Church, 420 Kitti Wake Drive, West Columbia, SC on Friday, November 17^th at 12:00pm. The burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. Reverend Tim Sieberhagen and Reverend Ryan Vaughan will officiate. The family will be receiving friends at their residence.

Surviving are her husband Richard Vaughan, her son Ryan Vaughan (Lauren), and her grandchildren Thomas Vaughan, and Baxley Vaughan, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kittiwake Baptist Church, 412 Kittiwake Drive West Columbia, SC 29170.
